@Abzeronow: I uploaded the original as a new file - File:Tarcísio Motta 14-6-2023.jpg. Can it be cropped to the same size of File:Deputado Tarcisio PSOL.jpg and be used to overwrite it? This file is currently encoded as RGBA. This unnecessarily inflated the file size, as the image is completely opaque. In my opinion, vector-based graphics like SVGs or PNGs should be rendered at pretty high resolutions if they're going to be provided as PNGs here as well. In addition, they should be rendered using vector graphics software (like Inkscape) rather than screenshotted, as screenshotting can introduce ClearType discolorations and image resolution limited to the size of your monitor. I believe I have located the original PDF source on the Atari Wiki. I have rendered a new 16000x10105 image of this PDF. I would like to upload this new render. This file is currently encoded as 24-bits-per-pixel RGB. However, there are only 132 distinct colors present in the image. This means we can use an 8-bits-per-pixel Palette mode encoding. This is map of all cases of Polio detected in 2024 and as such needs to be updated as cases in new countries are detected. There are 3 countries currently missing (Angola, Ethiopia and Niger) - I've prepared an updated image including these countries but cannot overwrite the original (although it has already been updated twice!). Since the new file is simply an improvement in data and graphic, I don't think it's really necessary to create a separate file. However, if you want to create a new one, you could name it "Greenhouse Effect (updated).svg" or "Greenhouse Effect (2017 NASA data).svg". Anaxicrates (talk) 22:27, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
